The venue for the re-run of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Walewale parliamentary primary has reportedly been changed.
The election between Dr Tia Mahama Kabiru and incumbent MP, Zuweria Lariba was initially scheduled to take place at Walewale Park.
However, for reasons not immediately known, it has been moved to the Walewale Pentecost Church along the Tamale-Bolgatanga highway.
Dr Kabiru, who says no information was relayed to him has expressed worry over the development.
“This morning, my agents went to the astroturf and there was no sign of any electoral process going on there and we were informed that the venue was changed to the Pentecost Church and I find that to be most unfortunate but I want to give them the benefit of the doubt that the reason for the change is cogent,” he told Accra-based Channel One TV.
