Unprofessional communication is EC’s biggest problem – Prof Aning

-

Security consultant and risk analyst, Professor Emmanuel Aning, has criticized the Electoral Commission (EC) for its lack of effective communication with the public, describing it as the Commission’s most significant challenge.

During an interview on Accra based Channel One TV, Prof. Aning highlighted the EC’s failure to engage Ghanaians in a respectful and transparent manner.

He noted that, the Commission’s inability or unwillingness to address public concerns has resulted in widespread frustration.

Prof. Aning further expressed disappointment with the EC’s increasingly “closed-off” approach, accusing the election management body of dismissing suggestions and public input.

“The EC’s biggest issue with the people of Ghana is its poor communication. It has failed to engage Ghanaians in a way that is respectful, dialogic, and addresses their concerns,” he said.

“I believe the EC has closed itself off, becoming dismissive of feedback, but there are still about 87 days left for it to become more engaging and ease the fears of the public,” he added.
