Unknown persons have destroyed a statue of the Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah.
Reports suggest the incident occurred around 11:30 AM on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
The bust, unveiled in October 2024 at the EOCO headquarters, sparked public outrage, with many questioning its relevance.
It was commissioned by EOCO staff to celebrate COP Maame Tiwaa in the “Obatanpa Tiwaa Gardens.”
Reports suggest there were two officers at the EOCO premises but they could not stop the vandalism.
