Ghanaian musician, Eugene Baah popularly known as Choirmaster of the music group ‘Praye’ has stated unequivocally that he wasn’t aware of the comeback of the Praye Group.
Kente (Praye Tenten) and Cartel Big J (Praye Tietia) currently make up the music group without Choirmaster (Praye Honeho) who has allegedly refused to join despite repeated appeals from fans to do so.
But speaking on Adom FM’s ‘Work and Happiness’ with host Ohemaa Woyeje, Choirmaster revealed that the group parted ways due to financial constraints.
Due to this, he decided to go solo, indicating that he signed a contract with a new record label: ‘Blue Rays Entertainment’.
Choirmaster disclosed that Kente (Praye Tenten) and Cartel Big J (Praye Tietia) to his surprise performed at various concerts without his consent.
“They [Praye] came together without my knowledge. I heard they playing shows and it was a good decision they did…” he said.
This notwithstanding, Choirmaster said he was not bothered because he had signed on to a record label.
“I signed to ‘Blue Rays Entertainment’ record label. And I think they played the shows without me due to the record label I had signed on. I just started been solo. Praye was the last group I joined. It brought us into the limelight. When you are in a group and there is no revenue coming, everyone looks after themselves…”
The famed musician said he is still willing to perform with the group if the right terms are reached.
“But if they had told me I would have found a way around the contact I have signed. I am willing to perform with them anytime…” he disclosed.
