The Black Princesses of Ghana have found themselves in a tough group for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup preliminary stage.
Ghana will face host France, New Zealand, and the Netherlands in Group A to determine who qualifies for the next stage.
The Princesses’ first match will be played against France on August 5 in Vannes before taking on their Dutch and New Zealand counterparts in the subsequent group matches.
Ghana qualified to the tournament after defeating Cameroon 4-1 on aggregate.
Management Committee Chairman, Nana Banyin Eyison and Coach Yusuf Basigi represented Ghana at the draw which was also attended by some senior FIFA officials.
West African rivals, Nigeria have also been drawn against Germany, China PR and Haiti.
The 2018 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup will be held between 5–24 August in France across cities such as Vannes, Concarneau, Saint-Malo and Dinan/Léhon
