Two Electoral Commission (EC) officials have passed out at the Okaikoi North Constituency Collation centre in the Greater Accra region.
This was due to a scuffle that erupted between party supporters and the police at the venue.
Joy News’ James Eshun reported that the supporters of both the New Patriotic Party(NPP) and the National Democratic Congress(NDC) attempted to force their way into the collation centre despite not having accreditation cards.
They resorted to use a different channel which was joining the EC officials who were coming in with the ballot boxes.
The police in their quest to stop them pepper sprayed the supporters with magnum compact, affecting the two EC officials who passed out in the process.
They were rushed to the Achimota Hospital.
