Two brothers arrested for trading in marijuana

Two brothers are currently in the grip of the Assin Fosu police in the Central region for allegedly trading in marijuana.

The duo, identified as Eric Boateng, 19, and David Andoh, 20, at the time of their arrest had in possession Acid, 10 BB live cartridges, a pistol with registration number 6po2254-93 and 24 parcels of dry leaves suspected to be marijuana.

Speaking to Adom News, the Assin Fosu Divisional Police Commander, Chief Inspector Henry B.M. Bacho, explained that, the police patrol team busted the two in their house upon a tip-off about suspected illegal business activities of the young men.

“Our police patrol went out for operations and in the process had a tip off about the operations of the men and when they went into the house they discovered pills suspected to be tramadol.

“They, however, denied ownership of the gun but one of them said it was for his father so investigation is on going to get to the father,” he narrated.

Meanwhile, the suspects explained that, they are farmers so they take the drugs to enhance their weeding potentials.
