Koforidua Technical University (KTU) has expressed its full backing for the nationwide strike initiated by the Technical University Senior Administrators Association of Ghana (TUSAAG).
The KTU chapter of TUSAAG has confirmed its participation in the strike, which will continue indefinitely until further directives are provided.
TUSAAG announced the commencement of the strike, set for Friday, September 27, 2024, with a complete withdrawal of services during this period.
This industrial action stems from unresolved issues regarding the government’s failure to fulfil its commitments under the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and to implement revised allowances for senior staff at public universities.
In a letter addressed to the University’s management on Wednesday, September 26, 2024, the TUSAAG-KTU Chapter stated, “We hereby notify management that members of the TUSAAG-KTU Chapter fully support the nationwide strike and will observe it until further notice.”
