President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi, says Ashanti Gold SC are enjoying their start to the Ghana Premier League but must not talk of winning the title yet.
AshGold lead the Ghana Premier League with 13 points, after five rounds of games, four more than second place Inter Allies.
Their impressive display has led to experts branding them as huge title favourites but President of the FA, Kwesi Nyantakyi says it’s still early days yet.
“Well I am happy with the kind of start we have had to the season,” Nyantakyi told the media.
“But we all have to put in mind that it’s just seven games played in the entire season.”
“I don’t think the way the season is going you can pick out a contender at the moment.”
The Obuasi-based club recently appointed Dr Kwaku Frimpong, who owns Champion Divine Clinic, to partner Kenneth Boakye Acheampong of Achiken FC to run the club.
