Thunder will strike anyone who refuse to hand over power after NDC’s victory – Mahama

-

Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) John Mahama has said nobody can subvert the will of Ghanaians in the 2024 election.

The former President has declared that, thunder will strike anyone who refuses to hand over power should the NDC win the election on December 7.

In addition, Mr Mahama said Ghanaians will resist and rise against such attempts, hence the New Patriotic Party(NPP) needs to abort such plans if they have any.

He was speaking to the chiefs and people of Oyibi in the Shai Osudoku constituency as he wrapped up phase two of his Greater Accra regional campaign tour.

“The people of Ghana are going to decide who their leaders will be for the next four years. It is not in anybody’s hands to say that when the people have expressed their will that person will not hand over; you don’t have the capacity to stand against the people of Ghana.

“When they have said the NDC has won the election and you say you wont hand over, thunder will strike you. There you will see the anger of the people of Ghana,” he stated.

Mr Mahama pledged that, he will ensure that the NDC and its supporters maintain peace before, during and after the polls; but, justice must be served by the necessary stakeholders.

“Everybody says Ghanaians are peaceful people; Ghanaians are dossal but let us win the elections and some nincompoops say they will not hand over then you will see the other side of Ghanaians,” he stated.
