The Central Regional Police Command says three other suspects have been arrested for their involvement in the Mankessim shooting last Saturday.
This brings to nine, the total number of persons arrested in connection with the shooting incident which occurred during the enstoolment of Queen Mother, Nana Araba Otua.
Speaking in an interview with Accra-based Citi FM, Public Relations Officer of the Central Regional Police Command, DSP Irene Oppong said the suspects were currently in custody and are assisting with investigations.

“The Central Regional Police Command has picked up three additional suspects in connection with the Mankessim shooting incident. In all, the Police have nine suspects who are assisting us with investigations,” she confirmed.
The shooting incident led to the death of a BNI official and another civilian, leaving five other persons injured.
Meanwhile, six people have been remanded by the Cape Coast District Court 2 who are set to reappear on January 19, 2020.
