Three-month-old baby, 3 other siblings burnt to death at Kintampo [photo+audio]

A three-month-old baby with three other siblings have reportedly been burnt to death at Bonche, a farming community near Portor in the Kintampo Municipality in the Bono East Region.

The deceased, Freda Stephen, 7, Nyanne Na Bada, 4, Faith Stephen, nine months old and Nabada Uwumboryakii, three months old died when fired gutted their parents’ hut.

The unfortunate incident occurred on Thursday, January 30, 2020.

According the Assembly Member for the area, Mr Emmanuel Tananja, the siblings in an attempt to ward off some bees that had invaded their cottage lit the structure with fire which killed all four children in it.

Parents of the deceased, who were then in their farm harvesting yam tubers, upon seeing the thick smoke emanating from their cottage placed a distress call to the police who rushed to the scene.

But, Mr Tananja on Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem said the harm had already been done.
