Three arrested for robbery at Gambaga

Gambaga police have arrested three suspected armed robbers after they allegedly robbed one Limuna Agoligo of Gh¢2000 and his motorbike at Gbentiri in the East Mamprusi Municipal of the Northern region
The suspects were identified as Karim Dansil, 22; Kofi Banaba, 21; and Amidu Dikrorugu, 26 years.
Northern Regional police spokesperson,  ASP Mohammed Yussif Tanko said police retrieved an amount GH¢ 2,568, two locally manufactured guns, cartridges, two cutlasses, a double edge knife, a metal bar and four mobile phones from the suspects after a search on them.
ASP Tanko said the suspects who were wearing masks attacked the victim at about 9:30pm at gun point last Saturday.
He explained that, the victim who was able to identify the suspects during the attack by their voices reported the case to the Gbentiri chief who organized the youth in the community to arrest them and handed them over to the police.
“Gbintiri Police Station, under East Mamprusi Municipal, received information that on the April 7, at about 9.30pm Limuna Agoligo was attacked by three (3) armed robbers, all masked with locally manufactured shotguns robbed their victim of Ghc 2000 and his motorbike”, Mr. Tanko said.
The motorbike was later given to the victim after which he was ordered at gun point to leave the scene.
The victim who was able to identify the suspects by their voices reported the case to the chief of Gbentiri who organized the youth to arrest the victims.
