Ghana midfielder, Thomas Partey scored as Arsenal secured a hard-fought 2-0 victory against Aston Villa at Villa Park.
The 30-year-old was included in Arsenal’s starting lineup for the match against Unai Emery’s team.
Despite Aston Villa’s efforts to break the deadlock, Arsenal’s David Raya made crucial saves, ensuring the first half ended goalless.
In the second half, substitute Leandro Trossard capitalized on Aston Villa’s missed opportunities by scoring in the 68th minute, just two minutes after coming on.
Partey then sealed the win for Arsenal with a goal 10 minutes later.

He received a pass from Bukayo Saka at the edge of the penalty area and placed his shot into the bottom corner.
This goal marked Partey’s first Premier League strike since March 2023.
He will look to retain his spot in the team for Arsenal’s upcoming match against Brighton & Hove Albion at the Emirates Stadium next weekend.
With this win, Arsenal has now achieved back-to-back victories in their first two games of the 2024/25 Premier League season.
