The trick which will make you fall asleep in less than a minute is called the 4-7-8 method, and trust us it is as simple as it sounds.

First of all, lay down comfortably on your bed. Now simply breathe in through your nose for four seconds, hold your breath for seven seconds, and then breathe out slowly through your mouth for eight seconds. Repeat this process until you fall asleep.

Harvard-educated medical doctor Andrew Weil says that this is an ancient Indian yogi meditation practice and very effective to fall asleep quickly. He says that even when you wake up in the middle of the night, this simple trick will help you go back to sleep.

As per Weil, this trick helps to relax your mind, reduces stress and anxiety level. Intentionally slowing down your breathing also reduces your heart rate and helps to relax your body. Practicing this trick on a regular basis will help you in the long run and you won’t have to count start at night.
