Communications Director of Accra Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo, says the Ghanaian football scene has no effective striker.
He made the statement after some supporters of Hearts called on the club to buy a prolific striker to strengthen the striking department of the team before the beginning of the 2017/2018 Ghana Premier League season.
In an interview on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show, Mr. Opare argued that “There are no potent strikers in the country currently”.
“We are all talking about strikers; I want you to show me one potent striker in Ghana now. That’s what we’ve all been searching for. The club is working hard to find solutions to the attacking problem in the team, so the fans should be patient”, he added.
Dreams FC overpowered Hearts of Oak at the just ended GHALCA G-8 tournament to pick their first major silverware ahead of the new season.
