The Northern Regional Minister nominee, Ali Adolf John, has pledged to establish enduring peace in the region if approved for the role.
Speaking during his parliamentary vetting, Mr. Adolf highlighted his deep commitment to fostering stability in a region that has faced periodic conflicts.
“I cherish peace so much that one of the things I want to be remembered for is peace. If I’m made the regional minister, I don’t want to see any conflict throughout my tenure,” he affirmed.
Mr. Adolf also expressed hope that the foundations he plans to lay would ensure sustainable peace even beyond his tenure.
“I believe the structures I will establish will continue to promote harmony long after I am gone,” he added.
His remarks come at a time when reports of localized conflicts in northern Ghana underscore the urgency of a robust peace-building strategy.
