Kofi Aduonum, the husband of Guinness World Records (GWR) attemptee Afua Asantewaa, has shared the story of how they met and eventually got married.

Speaking in an interview with Afia Amankwa Tamakloe on Adom TV’s M’ashyase3, the sports journalist revealed that Afua’s physical appearance, particularly her nose and ears, initially drew him to her.

According to him, they have been together for over a decade, going through years of friendship, courtship, and marriage.

Mr. Aduonum recalled that their first encounter happened in his office when Afua had come to visit a friend.

“I had been sitting for a long time, so I decided to take a stroll—even barefooted. I saw her and immediately liked her because there was this aura around her,” he recounted.

He said he shook her hand and requested that they become friends, but Afua only laughed before they parted ways. Unfortunately, he did not take her number.

As fate would have it, their paths crossed again at an eatery.

“I had gone to eat fufu when I met her with her brother. She immediately recognized me and said, ‘You again?’ I asked to join their table, and that was when I got the chance to take her number. From there, we started talking,” he narrated.

Mr. Aduonum emphasized that their marriage has been blissful, and he has no regrets.

The couple is blessed with three children.
