Work on the permanent headquarters for Tema Regional Police command in the Greater Accra region is expected to commence this year.
Completion of the project will see to relocation of the headquarters from Tema harbour enclave to Community 7.
Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) has been housing the headquarters for several years awaiting the permanent location.

The project has been on the drawing board for years due to financial constraint confronting the command.
At a recently held press soiree by GPHA, the Authority renewed its commitment to the project which will be sited on acres of land at Community 7.

Director General of GPHA, Michael Luguje says GPHA will see to the commencement of the project before 2019 ends.
Meanwhile, plans are far advanced to build permanent accommodation at community 3 for police personnel.
