Tema MCE bans tricycles from using motorway

The Tema metropolitan assembly has with immediate effect ban tricycles known in local parlance as aboboyaa from using the motorway.
The development follows recent increase in road accident on the motorway as well as the continues littering the motorway with refuse which has mar the beauty of the motorway.
The MCE for the Tema Felix Mensah Nii Anang-La is warning owners of such tricycles heed to the ban to avoid any punitive measures.
He noted that, tricycles carrying refuse the Tema landfill site which uses the motorway will be sanctioned.
Mr. Anang-La said they are working closely with the security agencies in Tema to ensure everyone comply with the new directive.
