Nana Pooley met his untimely death after being fatally stabbed by unidentified individuals during Asante Kotoko’s Ghana Premier League match against Nsoatreman FC in Nsoatre on Sunday.
The club confirmed in a statement that the incident occurred during an altercation in the second half of the match.
He was rushed to the Sunyani Regional Hospital with stab wound to the chest but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
As mourners consoled one another at the event, they reiterated the need for justice for Nana Pooley.
