Police in the Eastern Region have begun investigations into circumstances leading to the death of a 29-year-old teacher with the Asesewa Roman Catholic basic school.
Regina Mintah was spotted dead in her room on Thursday when her Landlord reported to police after detecting houseflies and stench emanating from her room.

The Landlord, according to the police, said the deceased had already told her she was travelling to her hometown three days before the incidence.
ASP Ebenezer Tetteh said Regina’s body, which was already decomposing, was found in her room when police officers forcibly opened the door to her room.

The police boss explained that she was found kneeling with her head resting on her bed with blood stains on the floor.
“Nothing suspicious was found after a thorough search in the room”, he said.
The body has been deposited at the Asesewa hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy at the police hospital.
