Crowds gathered on Sunday at the Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) for the first Sunday service after 21 weeks of closure.
The church’s late founder TB Joshua had suspended the regular Sunday service in the church due to the coronavirus outbreak across the world.
He did not reopen the church till his death on June 5, 2021.
However, the church’s new leader Evelyn Joshua, widow of the founder, addressed the congregation, saying “Our gathering here this morning is as it should be by divine will.”
During her sermon titled ‘The decision of a champion’, she said, “Jesus Christ was ready to go through a season of pain in order to go through an eternity of gain.
“You begin to succeed with your life when the pain and hurts of others matter to you.”
For their support and loyalty, Evelyn thanked the five wise men who were mentored by Joshua: Harry, Daniel, John Chi, Christopher and Racine.
Many had thought one of them would succeed Joshua.
