Two persons suspected to have been involved in the attack of a 60-year-old man they accused of witchcraft, have been arrested at Filling Point, a suburb of Choggu in the Sagnarigu Municipality of the Northern Region.
The irate youth, on Tuesday night, burnt down the house and property belonging to the 60-year-old man, Issahaku Abdulai.
The irate youth set the house ablaze and attempted to lynch the man.

According to them, the old man has cast evil spells over the community leading to the destruction of the fortunes of youth of the town.
Reports say the angry youth were seen with offensive weapons as they attempted to lynch the man and anybody who tried to go to his rescue.

Adom News’ Illiasu Abdul Rauf reports that it took the timely intervention of the police to save the occupants of the house and ensure calm.

Meanwhile, Northern regional police spokesperson, DSP Mohammed Yussif Tanko confirming the incident to Adom News, said the two who are currently in the grips of the police are assisting with investigations.
He said four others are currently at large.
