In a video that has since gone viral, Ms Bilson is spotted paying attention to the ongoing lesson while her boyfriend stood behind kissing and caressing her body all over.

The odd moment is that of a forgotten live camera which Bilson forgot to turn off, letting her mates and lecvturer in on her private affair.

The video suggests that some of Bilson’s mates had their hands raised but it is unclear if they were drawing her attention to the unintended blunder or were drawing the lecturer’s attention to something else.

Church sues Zoom after porn clips appear during Bible study https://www.adomonline.com/church-sues-zoom-after-porn-clips-appear-during-bible-study/ Fri, 15 May 2020 17:05:22 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=1795195 A historic San Francisco church is suing Zoom, claiming the video-conferencing app’s security failures enabled a hacker to stream porn into a Bible-study class.

The X-rated content, played at Saint Paulus Lutheran Church’s May 6 class, was seen by the church’s administrator and elderly congregants, leaving them “traumatized and helpless,” the suit alleges.

“Instead of providing Saint Paulus and its congregants with a password-protected and secure videoconferencing platform, Zoom allowed a ‘known offender’ — one who ‘has been reported multiple times to the authorities’ — to Zoombomb the class,” the suit, filed Wednesday in San Jose federal court, alleges.

Class attendees, most of them senior citizens, “had their computer screens hijacked and their control buttons disabled while being forced to watch pornographic video footages,” the suit says.

“Because of Zoom’s utter failure in providing security, Saint Paulus’s Bible-study class was Zoombombed twice within minutes,” the suit says.

Following the illicit interruption, which caused the class to be canceled, the church’s administration reached out to Zoom for help, but claims “Zoom did nothing,” according to the suit.

The company acknowledged the hack, but said officials took speedy action.

“On the same day we learned of this incident, we identified the offender, took action to block their access to the platform and reported them to relevant authorities,” a Zoom spokesperson said in a statement.

“We also encourage all meeting hosts to take advantage of Zoom’s recently updated security features and follow other best practices, including making sure not to broadly share meeting IDs and passwords online, as appeared to be the case here,” the statement said.

The church is seeking unspecified damages for negligence and privacy violations.

MPs’ virtual meeting hacked with pornographic images https://www.adomonline.com/mps-virtual-meeting-hacked-with-pornographic-images/ Thu, 07 May 2020 14:47:10 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=1790624 South African lawmakers were left embarrassed and shocked after a virtual committee meeting held over Zoom was hacked.

The meeting was interrupted with pornographic images shown and the Speaker, Thandi Modise, who was about to chair the meeting, verbally abused.

South African local media reported that Members of Parliament (MPs) were greeted with the offensive images as they started joining the Zoom meeting on Thursday morning.

Disguised voices then hurled racial insults at Modise and asked her to show her breasts.

Left frustrated, the outraged Speaker screamed her objection to virtual meetings saying: “This is exactly what I said about Zoom!”

Many of the MPs have described the incident as “sick” and “disturbing” as the Speaker adjourned the meeting.

She was, however, determined for the meeting to take place so asked technicians to fix the problem which they did by creating a new link where MPs then joined in.

This is not the first time South African government officials are reporting of their Zoom meeting being hacked.

Last month, a meeting by Minister for Women, Youth and Persons with Disability, Maite Nokoana-Mashabane, was also hacked by pornographers.

Zoom continues to battle with security weaknesses that allow for meetings held using the technology platform to be hacked.

Jospong responds to Joy FM's investigative report on 'inflated contract' https://www.adomonline.com/jospong-responds-joy-fms-investigative-report-inflated-contract/ Thu, 31 Aug 2017 16:45:04 +0000 http://35.232.176.128/ghana-news/?p=453121 Our attention has been drawn to reports on JOY FM and its other sister stationssince Monday 28th August 2017, imputing wrongdoing in the award of contract to some subsidiaries of the JOSPONG GROUP with particular reference to the fact that the quoted sum of $74,040,000 is inflated. The inaccurate report carried by the Multimedia Group on its various platforms purported to be an investigation by your reporter Manasseh Azure Awuni is unfortunate.
We respond to the specific allegations as follows:

  1. Allegation of Inflated price

That the price is inflated is misconceived and misleading. Firstly, this agreement is a Pre Financing and Credit Sale contract.  The total number of waste bins to be supplied under the initiative is 1,000,000 at a supply rate of $60 per piece (to be paid at the prevailing Bank of Ghana interbank exchange rate) plus 900,000 (nine hundred thousand) pieces of Biodegradable Bin Liners at $15.60 per piece. The total contract sum of 74,040,000 United States Dollars was to be pre financed by the companies, which therefore allowed the Government of Ghana flexibility payment terms for a period of 24 months. Definitely a cash sale has different terms as compared to a credit sale.

  1. Further to the production cost involved in the above, a major component of the contract is the transportation and distribution of the bins to households within the 216 districts in Ghana by the companies involved which has additional cost implications, and same was factored into the pricing.
  2. It should be noted, contrary to claims, the bins are durable; coming with a replacement warranty and a competitive price to the international market price.
  1. Allegation of payment of the contract sum.
  1. It must be placed on record that none of the five companies has supplied any item under the contract and neither has any payment been made by the Ministry of Local Government to the said companies.

3.       The reports and statements in the Multimedia Group, authored by Manasseh Azure Awuni, to the effect that the contract price has been inflated in excess of one hundred and thirty million Ghana cedis (GH¢130,000,000.00) is, therefore, grossly misleading and unfortunate to say the least. Clearly, there was no wrong doing in the procurement or award of the contract.
4. Splashing pictures of waste bins
We wish to state categorically that the references made to waste bins in the district with pictures displayed online by Joy FM were meant to mislead the public that, because some assemblies have not distributed existing bins, there was no need for distributing the bins as required by the contract is unfortunate.
It should be noted that, The One million Bins Distribution Programme is meant to ensure that households in Ghana have bins to enhance waste management, disposal and collection in all communities. Currently, the lack of such bins in houses is leading to poor waste disposal and indiscriminate dumping of waste generated daily.
On the face of the evidence, we deem the publication in question by the Joy FM and Manaseh Azuri Awuni as malicious and calculated to tarnish the hard-won reputation of the Jospong Group, the Chief Executive and its subsidiaries.
Accordingly, we call on Joy FM and its sister stations to retract the defamatory statements made against the Jospong Group and the Chief Executive of the Jospong Group, Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, within three days upon receipt of this rejoinder, failing which the company may be constrained to take any further action that it deems appropriate without further recourse to the Multimedia Group.
You may kindly contact the undersigned for further clarification
