Having been deported to Ghana after serving his sentence, he charged Ghanaians abroad not to engage in fraudulent activities – something he said caused his downfall.

“My mom took me to the USA, hoping to control my bad behaviour, but I was already too far gone,” Showboy said in an interview with Jerry Justice on Adom FM.

He recounted his journey in the music industry and how meeting Criss Waddle inspired him to push the AMG movement in 2012.

However, his love for friends and peer pressure led him astray, landed him in prison and he has now been banned from the USA until his 10-year probation ends.

Showboy urged the youth in America to avoid fraudulent activities and take advantage of the opportunities available in the US.

“Don’t sacrifice America for Ghana, otherwise, you will regret it,” he advised.

Showboy cautioned against making too many friends, as it can hinder personal development and lead to negative influences.

“If you follow friends, you will die early,” Showboy warned, sharing his own experiences of losing significant opportunities due to bad company and bad decisions.

Reflecting on his current situation, Showboy said he is struggling and can hardly make ends meet.

Despite these challenges, he remains hopeful and determined not to return to his old life.

I have learnt that, I cannot come here to do fraud, scam, sell drugs, or steal from people,” he stated, emphasizing the importance of staying on the right path.

Showboy reveals his greatest regret in life https://www.adomonline.com/showboy-reveals-his-greatest-regret-in-life/ Thu, 30 May 2024 00:45:57 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2402023 Musician Showboy has opened up about his greatest regret in life, which centers around his deportation from the United States.

This unfortunate situation, he said, has separated him from his family who reside there.

Showboy was sentenced to serve six years in prison in March 2019 for stabbing Junior US, a US based Ghanaian musician during a tussle.

Four years into his sentence, he was released for good behavior and deported to Ghana.

Showboy is currently on a nine-year probation, which complicates any attempts to reapply for entry into the U.S.

He remains hopeful that good behavior might eventually allow him to navigate the travel process again.

Showboy urged young people who are fortunate enough to live in the United States to value and maintain their status.

He tipped that it is important to building credit, engaging in legal work, and avoiding fraudulent or unlawful activities.

Showboy advised against sacrificing the comfort and opportunities available in the U.S. for a life in Ghana, highlighting the benefits of adhering to the law to ensure a successful and enjoyable stay in America.

Formerly involved in fraud, kleptomania, and other criminal activities, Showboy is determined to turn his life around through his music.

In an emotional appeal, Showboy shared that he want to do a decent job, which is singing as he doesn’t want to be forced back into his old ways.

Currently on probation, Showboy expressed his desire to avoid actions that could lead him back to jail.

But, he lamented the lack of adequate job opportunities in Ghana, especially those that could sustain his accustomed lifestyle.

In an interview on Adom FM‘s Ofie Kwanso, he added that friends are helping him survive in the harsh economic climate of Ghana.

Despite his plea for support, Showboy made it clear that he will not beg any top-tier Ghanaian musicians for features to boost his career.

He revealed that during his prime, he had helped many artists who have now neglected him in his time of need.

Showboy is determined to achieve success through his own hard work, stating, “One day when I become a worldwide sensation, I hope no Ghanaian artiste will call me for a feature because I won’t grant any for anyone.”

Instead of seeking collaborations with local artists, Showboy expressed his ambition to work with international stars like 21 Savage and Drake, aiming to reach the highest standards in the music industry.

Slaps fly in as Medikal meets Showboy face to face [Video] https://www.adomonline.com/slaps-fly-in-as-medikal-meets-showboy-face-to-face-video/ Tue, 26 Mar 2024 13:39:41 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2373232 The longstanding online feud between former label mates Showboy and Medikal escalated into a physical altercation when the two came face-to-face.

The feud which has simmered for years was ignited by Showboy’s public criticisms of Medikal, particularly regarding internal matters within their former AMG fraternity.

Showboy’s bone of contention is that, Medikal has infiltrated their camp and has snatched the soft spot of their founder, Chris Waddle, a position he initially held before being imprisoned for attempted murder.

Tensions reached a boiling point when Showboy reportedly visited Medikal’s residence to warn him.

Unknown to him, Medikal has assembled a team of heavy-weight members and the situation quickly devolved into chaos.

Despite efforts to defuse the situation, Showboy’s persistent provocations led to a physical altercation.

Tempers flared and slaps were exchanged as Medikal’s allies clashed with one-man army Showboy.

With the intervention of dancehall King Shatta Wale, the duo smoked peace pipe.
