Reacting to a video of her son, Majesty, the fan suggested that Majesty needs his father, adding that “he never sounds like Shatta I know.”

The fan went on to accuse Michy of raising Majesty like a “sickler” and insinuated that lad should exhibit a temperament similar to his father.

“His blood should be hot. You didn’t born this boy from an old dude, sis,” the fan remarked.

Michy did not hold back in her response as she questioned whether the fan’s criticism stemmed from the fact that Majesty is calm and collected, unlike his father who is full of vulgarism.

She retorted, “For a lady, you’re dumb. For people you’ve never met? Pray you have a child half as smart & healthy as mine. Gutter upbringing in some of you will always show.”

Michy’s strong response has sparked discussions on social media, many of whom are in support of her.

She says the situation is worrying and that discourages her from allowing her son, Majesty to venture into music in future.

Diamond Michelle Gbagonah, as she is originally called, said she will prefer her son to become a soccer player because it comes with a lot of discipline and is also more lucrative as compared to music.

Majesty is the son of Michy GH and multiple award-winning Ghanaian Dancehall giant, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, also known as Shatta Wale.

Speaking on Asempa Showbiz Review about the future of her son, Michy said that she would not love to see Majesty emulate either herself or his father, though both of them are musicians.

“Majesty is star boy especially when he sees people, it’s crazy. He plays the piano. We are still perfecting his piano skills. He has an interest in music instruments and want to know how to play beats and all that. I do see a future there, but I prefer to see him playing football because of the discipline that comes with it,” she said.

She further stated the lack of discipline in the showbiz industry as one of the reasons that discourages her from urging her son to get venture into music.

On the occasion of Majesty’s 8th birthday, Shatta’s estranged baby mama, Michy, handed over custody of their son temporarily for an entertaining family reunion.

In series of photos and videos shared on his social media platforms, Shatta Wale is seen bonding with Majesty and his other daughter Cherissa in a way that has warmed the hearts of his fans.

Joy and laughter was abound in Shatta’s plus ship mansion when Majesty took the role as a dance tutor and led a choreography with his family.

The son of Dancehall King Shatta Wale, real name Charles Nii Armah Mensah, dressed up as a Wulomo – servants or priests of the gods of the Ga Adangbe land.

Not only was he to partake in his school’s Ghana Day celebration, Majesty educated his fans on the culture of the Ga people, particularly their food and festival.

He spoke on the annual Homowo celebration where ‘kpokpoi’ is spread around to hoot at hunger.

He was clad in his white traditional regalia and held in his hands a calabash of ‘kpokpoi’.

Michy did not only close the door to their relationship, but packed out with every possession of hers including their son, Majesty.

Thereon, Shatta Wale has been denied every opportunity to associate with his son.

But, in a latest post on Snapchat, the artiste begged Michy to allow him change the narrative that he is a deadbeat father.

According to the father-of-three, he wants to build a bond with his seven-year-old son and buy him toys and trainers like every responsible father does.

His comment is necessitated after Michy, in a recent interview with Kwaku Manu, said she does not want any involvement whatsoever with her ex.

“I don’t want people having anything to say about my ex. He has a lot of enemies so I’m very careful with my dealings. Of course, he has a reputation to protect. I’ve been with him from the start so I respect the hustle, where we came from,” Michy stated in the interview.

She went on to say that she is yet to heal from the heartbreak her childhood lover caused her, though she still admires him from afar.

In reaction, Shatta Wale said he is excited she is frank with her experience, but that is not enough reason to deny him the joy of fatherhood.

According to him, he has not seen Majesty for years and that is not cool.

Michy is yet to react to his plea.

According to him, he wants his son to be a decent kid, adding that, he has never been in favour of him becoming a “Rasta boy”.

Speaking in an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Shatta Wale, who celebrated his son on July 11, 2022, on his Instagram said he wishes to spend enough time with him after he got separated with his baby mama, Michy.

The musician also bemoaned that all his baby mamas never give him the opportunity to spend time with his children, but he believes they will grow up to know his part of the story.

“I really love him, and I witnessed his birth and everything. He is going to grow to understand what’s going on. He is smart, and I know he’s going to be someone great in the future. Not only that, but he has that thing in him, and he knows right and wrong,” Shatta Wale said.

“I don’t like that hairstyle. I don’t like it, and I didn’t grow it. That’s why I am saying when he grows up and sees his dad not being a Rastaman ….

“I know he will grow up to decide for himself. I am an artiste and I don’t want my kids like that,” he told Andy Dosty.

Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Shatta Wale said he will only opt for co-parenting and joint custody of their son, Majesty, rather than going back into a relationship with Michy.

He told Andy Dosty that he has apologised severally, but Michy never gave him the green light to bury their past to continue their love life.

It’s just that we can’t be together any more. We have a son, but coming back? We cannot come back, but as parents, we can take care of our son. One painful thing about a relationship that hurts is when you are with the woman for a long time, and she goes away. I am that type that makes sure she has money and all that stuff, Shatta said.

Talking about their son, Shatta Wale said Michy doesn’t give him the chance to see or spend quality time with him.

He further bemoaned the fact that Michy has tagged him as an irresponsible father, meanwhile, he has provided her with a house and car even after they parted ways years ago.

I have apologised many times. People think I don’t cry. Real men cry, if you don’t, you are not a gangster. I asked her, why don’t you go out and tell people that I have bought you a car and a house. She doesn’t tell anyone. A week after I gave her the money to pay for the house, she was on TV saying all stuff. I gave her 5,000 dollars and my Benz on my bday. She doesn’t want to take the pain out, and I don’t know the sin I have caused her not to see my son, he told Andy Dosty.

The Shatta Movement leader also said he doesn’t like his son growing dreadlocks, but Michy has decided to do it for him anyway.

I don’t like his hairstyle now. When he grows up, he will understand everything. I know he will decide for himself. I am an artiste and I do not want my kid like that. He is with his mum, and he doesn’t know anything now, Shatta said.

He was looking classy and corporate while donning a tuxedo and a pair of sunglasses.

He is said to have passed on Sunday, May 22, 2022 but the cause of death yet to be known.

The NDC Deputy National Communications Officer, Kwaku Boahen confirmed the sad news on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem Monday.

Mr Boahen eulogised Majesty as one of the NDC’s top serial callers who will be sorely missed for his immense contribution to party development in the region.

“He was a very hardworking guy and his death is a big loss to the party and to the family, we extend our condolences. We will formally visit the family to commiserate with them,” he said.

A former Member of Parliament (MP) for Tema East, Titus Glover who was also on the show paid a glowing tribute to the deceased whom he described as a “brother and friend”.

At a time when the issue of domestic violence is prevalent, Michy has disciplined Majesty on the consequences of the violent action.

A latest video she posted captured her in a tete-a-tete with her six-year-old who was quizzing her on a post she made against domestic violence.

She was grooming her son on how to take care of any ‘queen’ he decides to marry in future.

“You’re gonna grow up one day and you’re gonna marry a beautiful princess and have babies like you. Once in a while you and your wife are gonna fight but no matter what, you never have to hit her,” she lectured.

According to Michy, she has started her ‘adult’ conversation at his young age because |they usually know more than you think & when they don’t know, they’ll remember your words”.

Fans have applauded her for nurturing her son the right way.

According to her, they are more like strangers now, adding that they have nothing to speak about, and she prefers the relationship in that direction.

Speaking in an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, she said: “We have no business, so it’s okay, I actually like it this way. Whether we speak or not, I’m happy, he’s happy, my child is happy, that is very important to me.”

According to Michy, her past relationship has thought her great lessons in life and that truly served a purpose.

“We have to know this is life; not everything will work out, not everyone is supposed to remain in your life. But, on the other hand, some people come to teach you great lessons,” she noted.

Shatta Wale and Michy broke up in January 2019 after he had proposed to her a month prior during his Reign concert. They have a six-year-old son, Majesty.

In the interview, she admitted that it hasn’t been all rosy being a mother, adding that, she is putting in her best to make her son happy.

“They don’t give you a manual to be a mum, so I was trying to figure it out; it was crazy for me,” Michy said.

“Responsibilities like taking care of children is not something anybody should draw your attention to. I am dying if I can’t see my son smile; it’s a feeling that should be there. If it’s not there, it shouldn’t be forced,” she added.

According to Michy who is also the baby mama of dancehall musician Shatta Wale, no man is supposed to be forced to take up the responsibility of being a father.

Michy has a child with Shatta Wale who turned 6 last year.

Michy says her major priority currently is to take good care of her son, adding that she is no longer in talks with Shatta Wale since their relationship ended.

We have no business so… I actually like the distance. Life is like that… Sometimes we do things and we just want … sometimes you need to know this is life and not everything will work out and not everyone is supposed to remain in your life… And some come to teach you lessons.

My child is in a healthy environment and that is okay. He is young to think about wanting to go and see daddy and wants to lie down with his iPad.

Responding to the how she spends time alone with Majesty without the father, Michy said:

We don’t force people to do things. Responsibility like taking care of children is not something that you draw someone’s attention to. I feel obliged, I am dying to see him smile… It’s a feeling that should be there and it should not be forced. If you love someone you should feel obliged… It should hit your heart.

According to Michy, life hasn’t been easy being a single parent.

At a point, it looked burdensome… They don’t give you a manual to be a mom. It was crazy for me and now I am enjoying it. I think I have my feet on track, she told Andy Dosty.

Majesty Armah turned 6, Sunday, July 11, and special lists of events were organised to celebrate him.

To kick off the birthday ceremony, Majesty took an ordinance of baptism to dedicate himself to his creator and thank the Lord for six years of growth.

He was seen with a lit candle, surrounded by some priests who proclaimed words of blessings into his life.

After the service, Majesty splashed his latest studios on his timeline, to announce his new feat.

In the photos, his mother, Michy, is seen adjusting his crown and positioning him on a throne to etch his position as the son of a King.

He was twinning with his mother, who expressed how proud she is of her son, adding that Majesty will forever be her friend.

“I will always need my son no matter what age I am. He has made me laugh, made me proud, seen me cry, made me cry, hugged me tight, seen me fail, cheered me on, kept me on my toes & many times driven me crazy but my son is a promise that I’ll have a friend forever. God continue to protect him for me,” she prayed.

As part of a new ‘Reading with Majesty Challenge,’ he has invented, the lad is setting an example for his peers.

In a video depicting his reading skills, Majesty read aloud, excepts of a book that depicts the essence of trees.

The young lad is seen being guided and corrected by his mother as he overlooked and mispronounced certain words.

The motive of the challenge, he announced, is to motivate individuals to adopt the fading traditional reading culture as against spending time on electronic devices.

“Readers are leaders,” he said in reiterating the need for his peers to adopt proper skills, which he explained are the gateway to learning.

That notwithstanding, he is confident only God knows why their relationship, which blossomed peacefully, had suddenly withered.

Shatta Wale and Michy have been locked up in love since his era as ‘Bandana’ and they have been supporting each other until quite recently when things turned sour.

That, however, did not deter Shatta from acknowledging her to the amazement of his fans.

He appears to be attending a Career Day at School and its obvious Majesty would like to become a doctor in the future with the wild poses he gave to the camera.

One thing many could notice was Majesty keeping a dread hairstyle just like his dad, the Gringo hitmaker.
