It was gathered that the suspect, a houseboy, allegedly impregnated the minor and connived with her mother to take her for an abortion.

The police command’s spokesperson, in a statement on Sunday, August 14, said the suspect was arrested following a complaint by the victim’s father, Alhaji Danladi Mohammed. 

Danladi reported that his biological daughter is missing but that he strongly suspected his house boy, Munkaila and one Muazu Umaru, 35, to be the principal suspects on the whereabouts of his missing daughter. 

On interrogation, the suspect confessed that the missing girl was his girlfriend who was four months pregnant to the knowledge of her mother but unknown to the father Alhaji Danladi Mohammed.

He further revealed that he conspired with the mother of the missing girl and his accomplice, Muazu Umar, and took the victim to Gombe for an abortion.

On reaching Gombe, the victim was led to the house of a woman, Hajiya Amina Abubakar, 50, where the victim was administered with some substances to cause miscarriage.

However, on their way back home, the two aforementioned suspects strangulated the victim, which led to her death.

In the same vein, they burnt the body of the victim beyond recognition and buried her in a shallow grave at a nearby bush, this time, without the knowledge of the victim’s mother.

In a viral video, Ayeni was seen narrating how Adeyemi, who allegedly had interest in his wife, dissolved their union and denied him access to his children.

According to Ayeni, when he protested the development, Adeyemi got him arrested by the police and he was subsequently transferred to Kirikiri Prison in Lagos State.

He said trouble started in his home when his wife started disrespecting him after he invested N5 million in her business.

According to the complainant, the wife packed out of the house and rented an apartment close to him.

He said she filed for divorce, which the magistrate granted and subsequently impregnated his wife.

“I had an issue with my wife, she moved out of the house, she rented an apartment very close to my house. I put five million naira into her business to establish a school, Greatest Kiddies Foundation. So the success of the business caused a problem in the family, I could not control her again.

“So after 10 months, I took her to court, thinking that I’ll able to resolve this matter through Alternative Dispute Resolution. The judge, Dr Ishola Azakiq Adeyeni, hurriedly dissolved my marriage and got that woman impregnated three months after dissolution of the marriage.

“The woman she’s now carrying nine months pregnancy for that man. What really pained me is that in the ruling, this man denied me access to my children. That I can only see the children at the school premises once in a week. The same children now are under his custody, he took over the business I established for that woman, he denied me access from having access to my children, he impregnated the woman now and he still wants to send me to jail.

“I don’t want my children to be under the custody of the man, instead allow my children to go and play at Sambisa Forest. I don’t want my children to live in a chaotic environment that is why I’m saying, I want my children back.
If I don’t care, the Lagos State Social Development can take over the responsibility of the children. I’m financially okay, I can take care of my children. I can put them in boarding house, I want my children back. Fellow Nigerians, please assist me!” the man had said in a video, which generated anger on social media.

But reacting in  a statement issued on Monday, Executive Secretary, Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency, Titilola Vivour Adeniyi, said the case was investigated by the Lagos State Judicial Service Commission.

Adeniyi said though the matter occurred between 2014 and 2015, the said judge has been interdicted for inappropriate behaviour.

It was gathered that the couple’s six years effort to produce a child had been to no avail as 50-year-old Darius is sterile.

It is in line with this that the couple contacted his friend and neighbour to help impregnate his wife at a fee of 2million shillings (over GHS 5,700)

After the three evenings a week sex calender, and 75 attempts, the said wife was never pregnant.

Darius’ wife, who is a nurse, took a three-month leave in a bid to dedicate her time to sleeping with her husband’s best friend and neighbour to see if she would take in. All proved futile.

It became worrisome after Precious failed to get pregnant for 10 months and the couple insisted that Evans have a medical examination.

Here came the shock as it was uncovered that Evans, who was also a father of two, was also sterile.

In a twisted event, Evans’ wife confessed he was not the real father of their two children.

The incident angered Darius, who sued Evans for a breach of contract, and they are facing court.

Meanwhile, Evans has staged a defense noting that he did not guarantee conception, but only that he would give it an honest effort.

Information received at the scene indicates that the tenant, identified as Reason Musiwechivi, established friendship with the landlord’s wife after giving her a lift to work.

He went beyond the daily ride to warming her bed whenever the landlord who doubles as a headmaster was away.

Not only did Reason ruin the marriage of 20 years, he is alleged to have also impregnated one of the landlord’s three daughters.

According to neighbours, there was a huge misunderstanding between the landlord’s wife and their older daughter a week ago when the mother and daughter clashed in Reason’s room.

This led to a serious tension between mother and daughter, which caused the landlord to intervene. They, however, denied all accusations.

However, it took the landlord’s daughter revealing the truth of her pregnancy, for the landlady to also confess she was three-months pregnant for the same tenant.

To make matters worse, a pharmacist is reported to have exposed the landlady for attempting to buy abortion pills to terminate both pregnancies.

The infuriated landlord is said to have descended heavily on Reason, beating him black and blue till he fell unconscious.

While Reason is battling for his life in a hospital, the landlord has sent his wife packing.

This is according to a lecturer with the University of Cape Coast Counselling Centre, Dr Kyeremeh Tawiah Dabone.

Dr Kyeremeh lamented the situation is threatening the future prospects of the young girls in the municipality.

He added that a formal complaint has been lodged against the teacher for appropriate sanctions to be applied against him.

He made the revelation during a seminar by the Ghana Education Service’ Counselling and Guidance Centre at Kwadaso in the Ashanti Region to equip school-based counsellors on the need to offer psychosocial support to school kids.

Seven other girls have also been impregnated by their close relatives in the municipality.

The situation, according to the GES, will have a serious physiological effect on the girls when schools resume full operations.

Dr Kyeremeh said the COVID-19 restrictions exposed the children to all forms of abuse which are unusual and has led to psychological effects among the children.

Stephen Asare Brew, the Kwadaso Municipal Educational Coordinator of the Counsellor and Guidance unit of GES, also stated that these abuses have affected the children physiologically leading to suicide among some of them.

He added that the children, who have been exposed to some of these abuses and are suffering psychologically, need immediate counselling to rescue them.

Mr Brew said sexual abuse by teachers is against the code of ethics of GES staff, adding that GES is committed to punishing any teacher who is involved in the act.

He explained that several students, who are victims of teacher-student sexual abuse, fail to report to the proper authorities making it difficult to issue sanctions to the teachers.

Suspect Angwe was arrested per his own confession, but he gave an unusual reason for committing the crime.

He claimed the girls seduced and weakened his self-control. He said it started as a joke, but the incestual act became a regular thing.

Speaking to the pressmen on the issue, the suspect stated that he started having sexual relations with the sisters, but he “didn’t know they would get pregnant because they enjoyed it.”

He said he threatened both girls to keep the pregnancy a secret, with the assurance that he will provide their upkeep.

However, the mother of the minors is said to have discovered the pregnancy in its final stage, and upon enquiry, the children confessed.

“I know I have deeply hurt the mother but it has happened and there is nothing anybody can do. That is the work of the devil and I wholeheartedly accepted responsibility so as not to ruin their lives. They can pick up the pieces of their lives and move on after nursing the babies.

“I will take care of the little babies. And if their mothers want to go to school after the babies might have walked, they can continue and I will support them. I have been begging the mother since I disclosed this information to her that I am responsible for it and I will take care of it, but she is still angry. I know that what I did was wrong. It is a taboo, but it is late to correct it,” he said.

On her part, the mother of the girls, Alice Ukange, who has been dating and is engaged to the suspect for the past four years, said he appeared to be gentle, humble and kind, and for that she allowed her children to be close to him.

“Augustine has finished me. He slept with me, slept with my twins and impregnated them, and they have given birth for him. He is ever ready to take care of them. But the big question remains how a man would marry twin sisters.”

The twin sisters had a baby each two months apart.

It all started when the victim got close to the pastor’s family by befriending his daughter, according to the account given on Nhyira FM’s Obra show.

According to the narrative, the pastor’s family grew fond of the victim to the extent that during the lockdown period, the pastor sought permission from her mother for her to stay with them at the mission house they occupied.

The Junior High School (JHS) 6 pupil added that the pastor gave her preferential treatment, a move that upset his wife, as she demanded the former to be sent packing.

According to the victim, tension, jealousy, and suspicion took the better part of the couple and as a result, she was constantly left home alone with the pastor.

On the day when the alleged first affair happened, the lass recounted how she was called to leave her ironing duty to render a service in the pastor’s room, oblivious of his sexual intentions.

“When I got inside the room, he asked me why I do not change in the main room, for which I answered that I was shy of him or his wife seeing my nakedness. After I answered him, he asked me to bend down, and he had his way with me,” she narrated.

When asked by host Mama Efe if she objected to the act, the lass who claimed she was a virgin said she told the pastor to stop a few minutes after he had started the act.

But, the pastor, according to her, gagged her and she obeyed thereby keeping their little romance a secret.

She said the intimacy went on several times in the bushes, and sometimes, at the his mother’s house.

She also revealed that sometimes the pastor sends her money to travel intercity to meet him for sexual escapades.

The ‘relationship’ went unnoticed for several months until the 12-year-old girl changed in appearance during which it was confirmed that she was seven months pregnant.

According to the police, trouble started when the lady’s husband, Isiyaku, who had been in Lagos for over one year seeking greener pastures, returned to their Wardanga village, Katsina State and found his wife with a four month-old-baby girl.

He then rushed to the Danja Police Division and reported the development to the police.

In the course of the investigation, Zainab Ahmed confessed that she had indicated an interest in joining the sect, and they told her that the initiation/indoctrination process involves them having sexual intercourse with her which she consented to.

The suspects – Tukur Dan-Azumi, aged 19, Abubakar Yahuza, aged 20 and Rufa’i Saosi, 27, all of Unguwar Dantalle in Katsina State, are now in police custody.

The victim is now six months and one week pregnant.

Agbavitor, charged with incest, pleaded guilty.

The court presided over by Samuel Kwasi Agyei deferred accused person’s sentence to May 4 and ordered the Police to conduct further medical examination on the victim before sentence is passed.

Prosecution led by Chief Inspector Charles Annobil said the victim was unemployed and Agbavitor was the father of the victim.

The prosecution said the victim and the accused lived together in a three-bedroom uncompleted house at Odunkwa, near Papaase Number 2, with other siblings.

Chief Inspector Annobil said about four months ago, the siblings of the victim left home to attend to their various errands leaving the victim and her father in the house.

The prosecution said investigations revealed that the victim took her bath in the afternoon after everyone had left the house and she entered the room she shared with one of her sisters to dress up.

According to the prosecutor, when the accused noticed that the victim had entered the room, he also entered the victim’s room and had sex with her.

The prosecution said after the act, Agbavitor warned the victim not to disclose her ordeal to anyone else he would beat her up mercilessly and disown her.

The prosecution said the victim indicated that the sexual act of the accused and she had taken place on two different occasions.

The prosecutor said during the month of March this year, the victim showed signs of pregnancy, and the accused who knew the boyfriend of the victim, now a witness in the case, informed the boyfriend of the victim’s pregnancy.

Chief Inspector Annobil said the victim’s boyfriend ignorantly admitted responsibility and promised to take care of the victim.

“The victim later disclosed to the boyfriend that the accused has had sexual intercourse with her on two occasions.

The witness informed his relatives and a complaint was made to the Police for assistance,” the prosecution said.

Chief Inspector Annobil said Agbavitor was arrested and during interrogations, he admitted the offence in his cautioned statement.

Prosecution said Police medical report form was issued and when it was returned, the form indicated that victim was six months, one week pregnant.

The man who shared details of his affair with his mother-in-law in a call-in show, said he got introduced to his new lover while still engaged to his wife.

According to him, he invited his in-law to an ‘entertainment spot’ with other friends.

Heavily intoxicated as he claims he was, he had sex with the elderly woman, a situation which rather became a norm.

However, he stated he was shocked after he learnt that his mother-in-law took seed, and insisted to have the baby after she pinned it on her husband.

The distraught man also revealed that when he asked his mother-in-law why she had the baby, she said the decision is because her husband had always resented her for having only female children.

The man also expressed how sad he is knowing that his son is now his brother-in-law, and the incestual act still bothers him.

She expressed regret that despite intensified public education, teenagers had failed to attend and rather opted for family planning services.

Speaking at a stakeholders meeting on sexual productive health project in Sunyani, Mrs Agyepong said the municipality had recorded seven teenage pregnancies within the same age group in the first quarter of the year.

The Global Media Foundation, an anti-corruption media advocacy non-govermental organisation organised the meeting in line with its 12- month project being funded by AmplifyChange, a multi-lateral donor agency in the United Kingdom.

Dubbed ‘increasing young people’s participation in the review of the adolescent reproductive health policy-Ghana’, the project is being implemented in Northern, Brong-Ahafo, Upper East and Upper West Regions at the cost of 10,000 euros.

Mrs Agyepong pleaded with the Ghana Education Service to strengthen sex and family planning education in basic schools as teenage boys and girls were often engaged in active sex.

Mr Owusu Asante, the Sunyani West District Adolescent Health Coordinator observed that neglect of young ones in the formulation of policies and programmes on reproductive health was a serious impediment to controlling teenage pregnancies.

According to reports from the Ghana Health Service, the country recorded about 110,000 teenage pregnancies in 2016.

Mr Asante was uncomfortable that though reproductive health services were available to the young people, reports on teenage pregnancy, unsafe abortion and sexually transmitted infections kept increasing.

“This is because we as a nation have failed to actively engage young people in sexual reproductive health issues”, he added.

Mr Raphael Godlove Ahenu, the Chief Executive Officer of GLOMEF, observed that many young people were denied sex education as a basic human right.

He explained that the project would organise youth conferences, develop position papers to help incorporate the views of the adolescent in policy formulation and implementation and appealed to all stakeholders especially the GES, the Ghana Health Service and traditional authorities in the project implementing areas to support and make the project achieve its objectives.
