Kuami Eugene drops shocking details on church, revenue and more https://www.adomonline.com/kuami-eugene-drops-shocking-details-on-church-revenue-and-more/ Mon, 14 Sep 2020 11:24:54 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=1853713 Reigning Artiste of the Year, Kuami Eugene, has reiterated the positive effect the gospel of God has had on his music career and finances.

Revealing more details on how he funds his music, he said he gets a lot of financial support from the church.

He said since he gave a spirit-filled rendition in the studios of Hitz FM some years ago, the gospel masses recognised him as one of their own and have been supportive ever since.

“The church really supports me, I think this Artiste of the Year award came from the gospel masses. The numbers started from Adom Praise and after that worship people got time to listen to my songs,” he noted.

The warm reception from fans after ‘Wish me Well’ track, he added, made him realise he had to do more for the majority of his fans who love the gospel field.

“I was in church last week and the reception was amazing. When I was shooting for a song last week, most people stayed after church to shoot with me because they were excited Kuami Eugene was with them,” he said on Hitz FM’s ‘This is Gospel’.

To that effect, he has released another gospel song with Obaapa Christy, of which he is expecting to win a gospel category award.

‘Change Over’ was not recorded for NPP – Mary Agyemang https://www.adomonline.com/change-not-recorded-npp-mary-agyemang/ Wed, 05 Apr 2017 09:55:34 +0000 http://ghana-news.adomonline.com/new/?p=63531 Gospel musician Mary Agyemang has denied allegations that her hit song ‘Change Over’ was a politically motivated song.

‘Change Over’ is a single from Mary Agyemang’s first studio album ‘Change Over’.

After the song was released it was alleged that she composed the song for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the 2016 elections.

But speaking in an interview with Hitz FM’s Franky 5 on This Is Gospel, Mary Agyemang stated she was inspired by God to write the song and she didn’t do it for the NPP as people claim.

“The ‘Change Over’ song did not come out for any political purpose. We only realised the message similarities with the NPP and other opposition parties when presenters started asking us during interviews. My management got angry because the song had no political message,” she explained.

“The message in the song relates to my life but when they started mixing the song up with politics I felt it was God’s will. People should give glory to God instead of feeling the song was done for a particular sect of people,” she stressed.

Mary, who is signed under Frimprince Music Productions, also revealed that she made a lot of money from the ‘Change Over album.

‘Change Over’ has been nominated for Best Gospel song at this year’s Ghana Music Awards.
