Mrs Adorye dropped a bombshell when she stated that cheating is part of marriage and spouses must get used to that fact.

The reason, she explained, is that it allows spouses to psych their minds so that the shock of a cheating discovery would not be intense.

Speaking in an interview on Accra FM, the ex-Member of Parliament’s wife of two years defended mistakes are inevitable in marriage, and cheating falls under such a category.

“Don’t see your husband as Holy Ghost or your wife as Hail Mary. Have it at the back of your mind that they are humans made up of flesh and blood. If you deceive yourself that your partner won’t cheat, the day they will, you will go mad,” she emphasised.

Empress Gifty further stated that couples should see cheating as the weakness of flesh, a sin that started in ancient times and will never change.

The power of that knowledge, she said, will help spouses forgive easily, which can lead to a dramatic decrease in divorce rate.

Her husband, Mr Hopeson Adorye, sailed through as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Kpone Katamanso Constituency, after beating his opponents with 321 votes.

He is, therefore, bracing himself for the election, a decision that appears not to sit well with some people.

Mr Adorye’s ‘enemies’ have turned attention to his wife of one year and threatened to end her husband’s life if he fails to back off.

“Tell your husband to back off contesting the seat or else we will make you a widow,” the anonymous text warned in plain words.

Narrating her ordeal on Accra-based Okay FM, monitored by Adomonline.com, the ‘Aseda’ composer revealed she went through stress from her divorce which made her almost bow out of the music industry.

She recalled how travelling became her only comfort in her trying moments when her friends seemed to have disappeared into thin air.

“From 2013 to 2015, I was stressed out and I decided to leave music just to make someone happy and be free from stress.

“When I was under stress, my friends, including pastors, neglected and rejected me and that’s why till date I don’t have friends anymore because everybody left me,” she said amidst tears.

She narrated how she changed her pillow every three days because they were soaked with tears she cried out as she remembered her painful experiences.

She also revealed she hid her pain from others because she feared criticisms from judgmental people.

Quoting a verse in Psalm 23, she revealed God had been her company and comfort when no one else was.

According to her, the person does not care about how she suffers to record and produce her songs but rather will go behind her back to take her royalties.

She said in the video spotted by MyNewsGh.Com that “You don’t know how I produced the song, you didn’t produce the songs and you don’t even know how I had money to record my songs but you could sign and take my royalties, God will Punish you”.
