Asante Kotoko coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum has advised his team to concentrate on their own game rather than placing too much emphasis on their arch-rivals, Hearts of Oak.
The Reds are set to host the Phobians on Sunday, December 15, in a Matchday 13 fixture of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Kotoko has managed just one win in their last six matches.
In contrast, Hearts of Oak are on a strong run, remaining unbeaten in their previous six games.
Despite these contrasting performances, Dr. Ogum remains confident that focusing inwardly is key to his team’s success.
“The focus should be us. Sometimes when you focus too much on the (opponent), you forget about yourself and it goes to affect you,” he told the club’s media.
“Ours is to make sure that we get our tactics right, we get our confidence, get our confidence right, our determination, our aggression, everything right and then face them,” he added.
The eagerly awaited clash is scheduled to kick off at 15:00 GMT.
