Deputy Minister-designate for Roads and Highways, Alhassan Suhuyini, on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, presented traditional smocks to members of the Appointments Committee following the successful completion of his vetting process.
The Tamale Central MP announced that the smocks were gifts from the chiefs who accompanied him, symbolizing appreciation and goodwill.
“In the spirit of accountability, permit me to announce that my revered chiefs brought you a smock for me to present on your behalf, and the same will be provided for all members of this committee so that in your next sitting, perhaps you all will be dressed in a Dagbon smock,” he stated.
Suhuyini had diligently answered questions about his plans and vision for the Roads and Highways Ministry before making the symbolic gesture.
Receiving the gift on behalf of the committee, Chairman Bernard Ahiafor expressed gratitude, saying, “Thank you very much. It is much appreciated, and I am most grateful.”
