SUGARDEM GH can help resolve marriage issues – Gospel musician

-

Female gospel artiste, Abena Serwaa Ophelia has lauded the initiative taken by SUGARDEM GH, saying it has the potential for resolving marriage issues in Ghana.
SUGARDEM GH held a feast for men in protest of a hard line position by a group of ladies calling themselves Pepper Dem Ministries, who insist that it is slavery for career women to cook for their husbands.
The Pepper Dem group also insist that men must partake in cooking.
On that back of the Pepper Dem position, a group called SUGARDEM GH emerged under the leadership of Adom FM’s radio goddess Afia Pokuaa insisting that it is not proper for women to demand that men must cook.
They also held that the way for women to get the men to pamper them is for the women to pamper them men first.
SUGARDEM GH therefore held a feast for men on Valentine’s Day February 14, 2018, where career women from all walks of life trouped to the forecourt of Joy FM and cooked for men.

Abena Serwaa Ophelia believes the position and move my SUGARDEM GH is a sure way of solving several marital issues in the country.
She noted that the position held by Pepper Dem is a major root course of failing marriages and it is time for women to rise up and change the status quo and save their marriage.
The gospel musician observed the entrenched positions in marriages is killing communication, which is the key to the survival of marriages and must be kept going regularly.
“SUGARDEM GH has showed the way and it is my hope that this will continue every year to remind our women of their role in keeping marriages going,” she said.
She also suggested that some female and male musicians can even sing with their spouses to strengthen their bond of love.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer at the Ghana Tourist Development Company Ltd, Oheneba Akua Manfo said she disagrees with the assertion that showing love to men makes women slaves.
She has therefore advocated for women to ‘sugar’ the men for the men to also pamper the women.
Oheneba Akua Manfo also said the idea of fighting men will not take women anywhere.
