Additionally, Yaya raised concerns about the lack of desks and chairs, which affects the learning environment, and questioned the use of Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) funds, claiming students have not seen any tangible benefits from the money collected over the years.
Asutifi South District Chief Executive (DCE) nominee, Mr. Asabre Donkor, acknowledged the legitimacy of the students’ concerns.
He credited the timely intervention of key stakeholders, including traditional leaders, police, and officials from the Ghana Education Service (GES), for preventing damage to school property during the protest.
Donkor assured the students that steps would be taken to address the infrastructural challenges to improve the school environment and support effective teaching and learning.
