Stop being insensitive about Bawumia’s health – Obiri Boahen fumes

-

Deputy General Secretary of the NPP, Nana Obiri Boahen, has warned critics of the New Patriotic to stop being insensitive about health of the Vice President, Dr Mohammadu Bawumia.
According to him, the Vice President has stressful schedules, a situation he says calls for a medical leave.
“I don’t see anything wrong with the Vice President going for a medical leave. It’s normal he takes some rest after going through a lot of stress. Those making issues out of the Vice President’s health leave should stop being callous and insensitive,” he said.

Dr Bawumia was flown to the United Kingdom last Friday for further medical attention after he reported unwell.
A statement signed by Chief Of Staff, Frema Opare on Saturday said he was flown to the UK on the advice of his doctors.

“He was accompanied by the Second Lady, Hajia Samira Bawumia,” the statement added.
But Lawyer Obiri Boahen says the Veep had to travel out not for any reason but for the fact that, he needed to seek medical attention and take some rest.
