Dancehall/Afrobeats music star Stonebwoy made an unexpected yet impactful appearance at the Rhythms on Da Runway event on November 30, 2024, at the Accra International Conference Centre.
The surprise performance added an extra spark to the evening, as Stonebwoy used his platform to emphasize the importance of peace, especially as Ghana approaches the December 7, 2024 elections.
The Kente Edition of the event, now in its 12th year, was a celebration of African fashion, culture, and unity.
Stonebwoy took to the stage in the midst of the vibrant atmosphere, performing some of his biggest hits while addressing the crowd.
His message, however, was clear: Ghana must win, and peace should be the top priority for all citizens.
“In the end, Ghana must win,” Stonebwoy said, as he continued his performance alongside one of the models on the runway.
His words resonated with the audience as he highlighted that peace should never be compromised, especially in times of national tension.
“You think I want to trade my peace wey I dey enjoy like this, because of what? Because of war? Naaa… I love my peace,” he added.
The event, which brought together fashion lovers and music enthusiasts, featured a stellar lineup of designers such as Ophelia Crossland and Yaws Creation, and performances from Ghana’s top artistes, including Edem and Kwabena Kwabena.
Stonebwoy’s performance stood out, not only for his musical talent but for his timely call for unity and peace, reinforcing the importance of these values ahead of the upcoming elections.
