Stonebwoy replies Ambulley

Ghanaian dancehall artist, Stonebwoy, born Livingstone Etse Sateklar, has replied Gyedu-blay Ambulley’s submission about him losing his identity and culture because of his genre of music.

According to the musician, music is evolving and the understanding of it is getting broader.

“My style is a combination of Afro beats and dancehall but I’m fortunate enough to study, crossover and be accepted. I see nothing wrong in being able to master a craft where you are internationally accepted,” he stated.

Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM morning show Day Break Hitz, he said though Mr Ambulley is not wrong with his submissions, he believes his identity is intact.

“I have rather been able to make sure that I have something to stand on to represent Ghana,” he added.

Veteran musician, Mr Ambulley in an interview with Ghanaian blogger, Attractive Mustapha advised Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy to stop doing the Dancehall genre and promote music that originates from Volta region in order to sell his identity and culture to the world.
