The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Asante Akyem Central, Dr Ebenezer Ekow Baido, has declared that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate, Kwame Anyimadu-Antwi, has failed his constituents.
According to him, the NPP parliamentary candidate should prepare his handling over notes ahead of Saturday, December 7 general elections.
Speaking at a rally in Konongo, Dr Baido urged the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) to be ready to account for his stewardship to the people of Ghana.
“The time has come for real change in Asante Akyem Central. We are ready to restore dignity, revive youthful aspirations, and lead the transformation agenda that our people deserve,” he stated.
The NDC constituency chairman, Sumaila Ibrahim, also rallied supporters to ensure victory for the party in both the parliamentary and presidential elections.
“The love and support we have seen here today show that the people of Asante Akyem Central are ready for change. On December 7, by 10 p.m., Dr. Ebenezer Ekow Baido will be announced as the new MP. Mr Anyimadu should start writing his handover notes because, come December 8, he will be handing over,” Mr Ibrahim declared.
The NDC urged all supporters to come out in their numbers to vote, emphasizing the importance of the December polls in shaping the future of the constituency.
