The 2018 GFA Star Times Gala was launched in Accra on with very interesting pairings to look up to.
The chairman of the organizing committee, Mr. Kurt Okraku explained the modalities of the two days tourney, saying all 16 clubs will be given $2,500 each as appearance fees; $500 for each club that progresses; and $2,000 for the winner of the Gala.
GHALCA G8 participants, Eleven Wonders will set the tone with the opening game against former premier league side New Edubiase.  FA Cup champions Asante Kotoko will begin another quest for a silver ware against Elmina sharks while Accra Hearts of Oak will start against city rivals, Great Olympics in a replica of a local derby.
The games are scheduled for February 3 and 4 at the Nduom stadium in Elmina in the Central Region.
League debutants, Techiman Eleven Wonders, will battle it out with New Edubiase while GHALCA G8 reigning champions, Dreams FC face second-tier side, Samartex.
Current GHALCA G8 winners Dreams FC will seek to bag their second trophy of the year when they play Division One side Samatex FC in the preliminary stage.
