Ghanaians are furious after hearing that the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) mismanaged their contributions.
Some of the contributors in an interview on Adom News are considering quitting the scheme.
This follows revelations of a controversial $66 million software contract awarded to the former management.
The software among other things was to improve SSNIT’s operating processes by putting in place a network system for all branches across the country but concerns have been raised about the cost.
However, former Director General of SSNIT, Ernest Thompson has put up a strong defence for the 66 million dollar contract.
According to him, the money is justified because of the complex nature of the system.
However, the latest situation has left some contributors really angry therefore calling for the law to take its course or face their wrath.
