The Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, is set to hold an official meeting with the leadership of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) today.
Adams, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for the Buem Constituency, was officially sworn into office on Friday, February 7, at the Jubilee House by President John Dramani Mahama.
In an interview with Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show, the minister revealed that he had previously engaged with the GFA leadership informally but will now have a formal discussion with the country’s football governing body.
“I have unofficially engaged the Ghana Football Association (GFA) before my swearing-in, but I will hold an official meeting with them today,” he said.
The meeting will take place in the conference room of the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, where key issues concerning Ghanaian football will be discussed.
These include the performance of the senior national team, the Black Stars, the state of the Ghana Premier League, and other national teams.
One of the main topics on the agenda is the future of head coach Otto Addo, following his inability to guide the Black Stars to qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
