Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Faustina Celestina Anaman, told the Court that complainant in the matter is the mother of the victim.
She said on October 22, this year, at about 1830 hours, the complainant together with her daughter who was two months two-weeks pregnant made a report to the police at Asankrangwa that in July, 2018, Oppong lured the victim into a teak plantation near the Pentecost Mission House at Asikafoamatem under the pretence of breaking a spiritual death curse on her.
Inspector Anaman said the convict then told the victim to allow him to have sex with her, else the spirit will kill her and she obliged.

The prosecutor said Oppong took advantage and had sexual intercourse with the victim on three separate occasions resulting in the pregnancy.
According to Inspector Anaman, a police medical form was issued to the complainant to send the victim to the hospital and the form was returned to the police, which confirmed that the victim was pregnant.
She said Oppong was subsequently arrested and detained for interrogation.
