Spanish club Celta Vigo signs Asante Kotoko defender on a long-season loan deal

Spanish La Liga team, Celta Vigo has officially signed Bernard Somuah, a defender from Ghanaian club Asante Kotoko.

The young talent joins Celta Vigo on a season-long loan, with the announcement made by the club on Tuesday.

Following the confirmation of the move, Asante Kotoko released a statement expressing their best wishes for Somuah’s success in Spain.

“Asante Kotoko SC is pleased to announce the loan transfer of our talented winger, Bernard Sarpong Somuah, to Spanish La Liga side, Celta Vigo, for the upcoming season. The agreement includes an option for Celta Vigo to make the deal permanent at the end of the loan period.

“We thank Bernard for his commitment to Asante Kotoko and wish him the very best,” Asante Kotoko announced in a club statement.

At just 18-years-old, Somuah’s journey from a promising player to a highly regarded talent has been impressive.

His rise to prominence began with an outstanding performance during a trial at Kotoko, where he caught the attention of the club’s scouts with his remarkable skills and potential.
