Gospel musician and preacher, Sonnie Badu, has issued a stern warning to prophets against making public declarations about people’s deaths, particularly in relation to the health of Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.
In a social media post, Sonnie Badu expressed deep concern over the increasing trend of prophets predicting the demise of public figures, calling such actions irresponsible and fear-inducing.
He emphasized that true prophecy should come with wisdom and offer redemption, rather than focus on doom and gloom.
“There is something called the word of wisdom, which simply means that whatever you see, you should speak with wisdom. Prophesying someone’s death does not make you powerful; rather, it makes you a prophet of doom,” he said.
Sonnie Badu urged prophets to be conscious of the emotional strain such predictions can have on the families of those involved, encouraging them to mature in their ministry and deliver messages with greater discretion.
Turning to the Vice President, Sonnie Badu wished her a swift recovery and acknowledged her dedication during the election campaign.
“To our Vice President, Mummy, get well soon. Please take time to rest. The truth is, you gave your all during the campaign and have not rested. I am praying for you. Love you loads, Mummy,” he added.
His message comes amidst ongoing reports and speculations about the Vice President’s health, with certain prophets making controversial statements regarding her well-being.
