On Friday, September 27th, American-Ghanaian-Italian rapper Slut Boy Billy posted on his social media stories a typed-out statement indicating to fans what seems like an exit from the music industry.
The picture used on the rapper’s post was the headline of his career high streams article from a news source. Slut Boy Billy stated in the post “I for personal reasons refrained from the music industry ever since due to some things that I dislike and experienced. It’s a very political industry, and talent is basically like 10% of what it takes, 90% is a mix of business and politics to say the least. I been through a lot, good and bad, learned a lot about society and people as well. It’s pretty dark behind the scenes and I choose to be at peace. Having peace in my personal life is very important to me and to be a family man handling responsibilities so I can respectfully be a proud father and husband. If you see any music works I’m involved in, it’s pre recorded and I have no plans of making new music.”
Slut Boy Billy, born Billy Affou on August 25, 1998 in Chiari-Italy has raised speculations with his post breaking silence. Fans are left shocked. Sources say the Pittsfield, Massachusetts raised rapper may be venturing into different avenues of interest, as in recent posts the rapper has been spotted with Ghanaian business mogul Daniel “Desiigner” Dzorka.
Slut Boy Billy’s career has been described as a interesting source of musical entertainment with his quirky voice and rhythmical flows, from his hit single ‘Draco’ to his “Mineral Rock EP”, including “Alternatively Atomic EP”, and single ‘How Could You.’
Slut Boy Billy says there’s a possibility that pre recorded songs may surface, but he has no intention of making new music. The rapper has revealed that his focus is being a responsible husband and father. Although fans are unclear on Slut Boy Billy’s next venture, the rapper’s association with Ghanaian businessman Daniel “Desiigner” Dzorka may lead to business dealings outside of the music industry.
