Lucky Ekeh, an emerging Afrobeats artiste, has just released his latest single, “Dey My Mind.”
The track showcases Ekeh’s unique Afrobeats style and has quickly gained traction among fans. Despite the positive reception, Ekeh remains unsigned by any record label, continuing his quest for wider recognition.
Ekeh’s journey in music began in 2019, fuelled by his strong background and exceptional vocal talent.
Known for his distinctive voice, Ekeh believes it sets him apart in the competitive industry.
“I know I have a great voice when it comes to singing,” he said, expressing his ongoing desire to be discovered by major labels.
His musical journey started early—by the age of 14, Ekeh was already an accomplished keyboardist and drummer, performing in church settings. Reflecting on his early experiences, he noted, “At a young age, I realized I had something special.”
Growing up in the Volta Region and attending Ho Technical University, Ekeh’s background has significantly influenced his musical identity.
His latest release, “Dey My Mind,” is a testament to his dedication and passion for Afrobeats. Although Ekeh’s fans generally prefer his songs in English over his native language, he continues to create music that resonates with his audience.
Determination and a belief in future success keep Ekeh motivated.
“What keeps me going is realizing that one day, everything I am doing will surely pay off,” he shared. His favourite artist, Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie, has also been a significant source of inspiration.
Although he has yet to receive awards, Lucky Ekeh’s story—from his early musical endeavours in the Volta Region to his current rise in Afrobeats—reflects a journey of passion, perseverance, and hope.
As he continues to evolve and seek recognition, his career remains one to watch in the Ghanaian music scene.
