Final-year students of Zabzugu Senior High School have attacked their teachers with stones and other offensive objects for not allowing them to copy in their final year examination.

The angry students who think they have the right to copy or send texts books into the examination hall vandalized school properties such as TV sets, doors, windows and anything belonging to the school, Adom FM’s Illiasu Rauf reports.

A student who spoke to us on the condition of anonymity said even though they did not have any pact with their teachers to allow them to copy, they were reliably informed that teachers from other schools aid their students by allowing them to copy.

A teacher of Zabzugu SHS said their only crime was not allowing the students to copy during the West Africa Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

According to him, the students felt they had a right to send their notebooks and text books to the examination hall, a right they the teachers are yet to come across in any of the examination regulations.

As a result, the teacher said the students mobilized themselves and stormed the school, vandalizing properties and threatening to kill any teacher they came across.

According to the visibly terrified teacher, he was only alive because he didn’t take refuge in his house when he run from sight because the students went to his house with stones in search of him.
