She has already given me assignments – Tetteh Chaie on Linda Ocloo’s appointment as Regional Minister

The Greater Accra Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Theophilus Tetteh Chaie, has expressed his support for the recent appointment of Linda Ocloo as the Regional Minister by President John Dramani Mahama.

In an interview on Asempa FMs Ekosii Sen show, Mr. Chaie explained that the position was given to executives to choose.

However, he noted that some individuals submitted their names to the presidency but were not selected, while President Mahama ultimately made the decision.

Mr. Chaie noted that, as far as he is concerned, President Mahama’s decision should be respected.

“People took their names to the presidency, but I didn’t send my name. We are grateful to Mahama, and the most important thing is that Mahama has made a decision, and it should be respected whether other executives like it or not,” he said.

He said Madam Linda Ocloo is well-prepared for the role and has already started working.

“She understands the job already. She has even given me some assignments to do for her, and so we are ready to help her work and make Greater Accra better,” Mr. Chaie said.

He added that madam Ocloo, a Member of Parliament for the Shai-Osudoku Constituency, is competent and ready to work.

“Our mother has experience, and she will bring it to bear. She is competent and ready to work, so she should be trusted,” he noted.

Mr. Chaie’s comments follow the appointment of Linda Ocloo as one of the 10 regional ministerial nominees awaiting approval.
