Founder and CEO of The Last Two Music Group, Edward Nana Poku Osei popularly known as Hammer has shared his opinion concerning the trending lyrical war between Shatta Wale born as Charles Nii Armah Mensah and Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun widely known as Wizkid.
Shatta Wale in a recent interview stated he would never consider the Nigerian musician as a superstar.
“I will not see Wizkid and be stunned, I rather want him to see me and be amazed because I don’t see anything extraordinary about him, even though he claims to the best African artiste,” he said.
However, fans of Wizkid in Nigeria didn’t take the statement lightly hence clap-backed at the Ghanaian Dancehall artiste Shatta.
But Hammer blamed the media for fuelling the tension by making his honest opinion about the Nigerian artiste look offensive.
According to him, Shatta Wale didn’t mean to disrespect Wizkid since both artistes are recognized as international artistes.
He cited how American rapper, 50cent will probably not praise fellow industry player, Lil Wayne as a superstar because they both believe they are at par.
“I just made time to peruse this controversy thoroughly from its inception and realized the starbwoy Wale said nothing in disrespect to the starbwoy wizzy to begin with. Whoever broke the story first is the one blame here…” he said on Facebook.
“50cent probably doesn’t necessarily see lil Wayne as a super star cos he probably believes he’s his equal but from where I sit, I do think Wayne is a super star from my perspective…” he said.
Hammer threw his support behind Shata Wale indicating that everyone is entitled to their opinion.
“It’s just a classic case of not being star struck by someone’s art or hustle, and that’s no crime. There u have it.. Superstardom is not absolute… It’s relative…” he maintained.
