Event promoter and ambassador to Ghana Music Awards (GMA) UK, DJ Alordia, says Shatta Wale has a larger fan base in the United Kingdom (U.K) compared to other A-list artistes such as Stonebwoy and Sarkodie.
Alordia’s revelation follows questions of how the nominees were awarded at the just-ended GMA- UK, which was held Saturday night at the Discovery Centre, Jenkins Lane, Barking in London.

According to him, the reason for Shatta Wale’s popularity in that part of the world is because “most people love commercial music [which he does] and that makes him popular than the others.”
Speaking in an interview on U Sey Wetin on Hitz FM, DJ Alordia explained Shatta is the fan’s favourite because aside from his songs, his stagecraft and demeanour resonates well with the audience.
“People don’t like the fact but if I put a show together, it’s obvious Shatta will get more crowd than Stonebwoy and Sarkodie. Everyone likes songs that when they come up you either tap your feet or rush to the dance floor to dance,” he told Prince Tsegah.
